Berhan strengthens its presence in China through establishing a JV
Berhan Ltd of Helsinki and Dongguan Lalapa Technology Co., Ltd, have established a M&A joint venture company focusing on China market – working with western companies towards China and Chinese companies in China and outside China.
Berhan business has in recent years increasingly concentrated in developing markets – China, India and Russia in particular. To respond to this Berhan is strengthening its presence in China through establishing its China operations into a company form and inviting its head of China operations, Ms Lily Lin through her family investment company Lalapa, into a Joint Venture.
The name of the JV company is Dongguan Berhan Corporate Advisory Co., Ltd.
Berhan shall invest 80% and Lalapa 20% of the equity. The legal address of the Joint Venture Company is at No.522B, Dongsheng Building, Dongcheng Nan Road, Dongguan, Guangdong, PRC.
The Joint Venture had its business license approved on 10th July 2008.

Indufor and Berhan have established a M&A Joint Venture focusing on forestry and forest industries in emerging markets
Indufor Oy and Berhan Oy are today announcing that they have established a joint company, Berhan Indufor Oy, to advise their Client companies through successful merger and acquisition processes.
The concept of the new company was launched on January 31, in Shanghai, China. Berhan Indufor held a seminar on forest cluster mergers and acquisitions in Shanghai during a visit by a Finnish business delegation led by Dr. Paavo Väyrynen, the Finnish minister of foreign trade and development.

Kemira Group, a major chemicals corporation, has in 2004-2006 taken thru a major restructuring, focusing itself in 4 businesses: Pulp & Paper chemicals, Water chemicals, Specialty chemicals and Paints. Berhan is working with Kemira in these projects as an advisor, both in acquisitions and divestments.
An important part of this restructuring has been to divest the non-core businesses - among them the fertilizer joint ventures in Italy, Dubai and
Jordan. This project is now completed with the divestment of Kemira shareholding in Kemapco, Jordan.

Elcoteq inaugurates the India manufacturing facility
Elcoteq Network Corporation, the leading provider of electronics manufacturing services (EMS) for the communications technology industry, inaugurated a new plant in Bangalore, India today.
